FAQs
Are you Licensed?
Yes, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Psychotherapist in the state of CA. My License number is 109599. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from Cal State University, Northridge in 2018 and became Licensed in the State of CA in 2022.
What is your therapy background?
The majority of my career has been spent on trauma treatment and early intervention trauma prevention. I have worked in hospice care, the public school system, pediatric health care, foster/adoption and resource parenting, and in management rolls helping support helping professionals. Throughout my time as a therapist the common thread is providing supportive, healing, and gentle-but-direct care for trauma treatment.
How much does therapy cost?
My weekly rate is $200 / 50 minute session. For couples or families of 2 or more people, my session rate is $250 / 50 minute session.
Sessions are 50 minutes long. If longer sessions would be beneficial, I am happy to add time in 30 minute increments to our session slot.
Do you take insurance?
I am currently private pay only. I will automatically send you a superbill at the end of each month if you would like to submit this to your insurance provider for out of network benefits.
How long do therapy clients stay with you?
This varies person-to-person and what their history and/or symptoms may be. Some folks recovering from Complex Trauma benefit from ongoing support for years, while others may come in with a specific issue they want to address that may take less time. I go with whatever you or your family needs and always talk about it openly with you.
What can I expect from therapy with you?
I am very down-to-earth and practical when it comes to treatment. I like exploring where issues arise on a daily basis (work, relationships, emotional regulation) and then explore where those issues first began. I provide weekly exercises so you can practice what we work on throughout the week. I love using humor and strengths-based approaches, and finding the resilience that carries you through. I am collaborative, open, and always receptive to feedback; one of my main goals as your therapist is to model what a healthy, safe relationship can feel like so you can bring that into your other relationships.
