What is Lexi’s therapy background?
The majority of Lexi’s career has been spent on trauma treatment and early intervention trauma prevention. I have worked in hospice care, the public school system, pediatric health care, foster/adoption and resource parenting, and in management rolls helping support helping professionals. Throughout my time as a therapist the common thread is providing supportive, healing, and gentle-but-direct care for trauma treatment.
For the last 2-3 years, I have focused on the intersection of trauma and neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism Spectrum, and OCD), and love working with neurodivergent folks navigating their various life experiences.
How much does therapy cost?
Lexi’s weekly rate is $200 / 50 minute session. For couples or families of 2 or more people, my session rate is $225 / 50 minute session.
The team’s weekly rate is $150 / 50 minute session. For couples or families of 2 or more, the session rate is $175 / 50 minute session.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! We are contracted with CenCal, Lyra, Anthem Blue Cross of California, and Aetna.
Otherwise, sessions will be cash pay and charged via credit card the night of the session. We send all clients a monthly superbill that you can then submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
How long do therapy clients stay with you?
This varies person-to-person and what their history and/or symptoms may be. Some folks recovering from Complex Trauma benefit from ongoing support for years, while others may come in with a specific issue they want to address that may take less time. We go with whatever you or your family needs and always talk about it openly with you.
What can I expect from therapy with you?
Lexi is very down-to-earth and practical when it comes to treatment. She likes exploring where issues arise on a daily basis (work, relationships, emotional regulation) and then explore where those issues first began. She provides weekly exercises so you can practice what you work on throughout the week. She loves using humor and strengths-based approaches, and finding the resilience that carries you through. She is collaborative, open, and always receptive to feedback; one of her main goals as your therapist is to model what a healthy, safe relationship can feel like so you can bring that into your other relationships.
